NASU, SSANU, NAAT suspend strike
The non-teaching workforce of nigerian universities have suspended
their strike.
The team of workers, participants of three unions, NASU, SSANU, and NAAT, introduced the suspension of the 11 days vintage strike on thursday.
Mr Sam Ugwoke, the country wide president of the joint action committee of 3 unions, introduced the suspension at a media briefing in abuja.
Mr ugwoke stated the strike became being suspended for a month to allow the government meet their needs.
He enjoined government to “make certain compliance” with agreements reached with the unions.
The government and the group of workers reached an agreement after numerous hours of assembly within the early hours of thursday.
On the meeting, a memorandum of knowledge became signed with the federal authorities delegation led by way of the minister of labour, Chris Ngige.
Mr. Ngige had in advance said each parties produced “collective agreement of action” after the assembly.
