'Beware of recruitment fraudsters' - Lagos State government issues fraud alert!
The Lagos State Government has warned the general public against falling prey to fraudsters planning to defraud unsuspecting Lagosians following the announcement by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to inject additional 1000 teachers into the state public schools.
According to a release by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Adebunmi Adekanye, some faceless individuals have been collecting details of intending applicants on some social media platforms with a promise to help them secure employment as teachers in the State.
The Permanent Secretary counselled interested applicants to wait for the display of the vacancy advertisement on the official portal of the State Government dedicated for recruitment, adding that any request for bio-data on any other social media platform should be disregarded as it is not authorised.
She disclosed that approval of the framework for the recruitment was still being processed and the public will be duly provided information on procedures for applying for the vacant positions.
