Algeria sack coach Alcaraz just 26 days before Super Eagles clash


The Algerian FA has parted ways with their Spanish coach Lucas Alcaraz just 26 days before their last World Cup qualifying match againstNigeria in Constantine.

Alcaraz was shown the exit door due to poor results posted which saw his stats stand at one win after Four games since taking over in April from Belgian George Leekens who resigned in February.
The Desert Foxes of Algeria are out of the race to qualify for Russia 2018 after posting a fine display at the last edition held in Brazil in 2014.

Before pitching tent with Algeria, Alcarez previously managed a host of Spanish clubs in Spain including Granda during the 2016/2017 LaLiga season
Algeria are now in the market in search of a fifth coach in a space of one year.
